Short answer
Often, yes. If the haze is on the outside of a plastic lens, restoration may improve clarity without replacing the complete assembly. An inspection is the way to tell whether the lens is a good candidate.
When restoration is worth considering
Florida sun and weather can leave plastic headlight lenses cloudy or yellow. Exterior oxidation scatters the appearance of the lens and can make the headlight look older than the rest of the vehicle. Restoration works on that outer surface: the worn layer is addressed and the lens is refined for a cleaner finish.
A replacement assembly can be far more involved than treating a restorable exterior lens. That is why we look at the actual condition before recommending work. Our north Freeport photos of a 2017 Toyota RAV4 show the difference between a hazy lens and its clearer finished appearance.
When a different repair may be needed
Restoration is not a fix for moisture trapped inside the housing, broken seals, electrical faults, cracked housings, damaged internal reflectors, or every case of deep pitting. Those problems may call for diagnosis or replacement rather than an exterior polish.
